It isn’t just patients we support…
We believe that part of being a clinical neuropsychologist is helping support your colleagues – in the quality of care they provide and their own professional development.
Having worked across the brain injury pathway, Dr Hunkin understands the realities of life at the sharp end of the NHS. She has provided supervision for psychologists, nurses and occupational therapists, amongst others, to guide them in applying evidence-based neuropsychological models in the management of long-term conditions.
From 2009-15 she was Liason Tutor for Plymouth University’s Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and appreciates the challenges faced by those who are balancing training with practice. She holds a British Psychological Society accredited qualification in managing learners in practice.
She is also one of a small number of professionals in Cornwall that are qualified to supervise Clinical Psychologists seeking to undertake the BPS QiCN.
